Ozawa’s comments are featured in the article of Nikkei Biotech on April 12^th, 2010.

The article it titled as “ Approval in developed countries? / Weakening of basic research / The potential of gene therapy” and focuses on the gene therapy, which is now attracting attention. In detail, some programs in late stage of the development are introduced, and the problem such as the weakening of basic research, the complicated system including “Kakunin Shinsei” in Japan, and so on.

POC believes the potential of the gene therapy drug, which has the advantage in drug cost and the efficacy for the congenital incurable diseases.  We strongly support the early realization for gene therapy drug.
